Ringtail
(Adopted 1986)

A nocturnal denizen of woods, brush, and rocky areas - particularly along streams - from Oregon to Texas and into the Southwest. It is pale yellowish gray, with short legs and a long, bushy tail that has many black-and-white rings. It eats mice, birds, insects, lizards, and some fruit.
